In this role, you will build proactive talent pipelines, leverage advanced sourcing strategies, analyze market trends, and partner closely with recruiters and business leaders to solve complex hiring challenges. The ideal candidate thrives on finding talent where others are not looking, enjoys strategic talent mapping, and understands how to turn research insights into recruiting success.
This position is a full-time, remote role with periodic travel required. You must have 5 years of direct sourcing experience in a niche discipline with preference in human health or veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Identify and engage passive veterinary talent through creative, research-based sourcing strategies
- Build and maintain proactive pipelines of DVM candidates for current and future hiring needs
- Utilize advanced sourcing techniques including Boolean search, X-Ray search, talent mapping, social sourcing, and niche community engagement
- Research competitive markets, geographic trends, and talent availability to uncover new sourcing opportunities
- Develop innovative sourcing approaches that expand beyond traditional job boards and LinkedIn outreach
- Leverage recruiting technologies, AI-enabled sourcing tools, and data insights to improve sourcing effectiveness and efficiency
- Maintain organized candidate pipelines, market insights, and sourcing activity within the ATS
- Craft highly personalized outreach campaigns that resonate with passive candidates and reflect WVP's culture and mission
- Build authentic relationships with prospective veterinarians and create positive first impressions of WVP
- Conduct initial candidate engagement conversations to assess interest, alignment, and long-term potential
- Partner closely with DVM Recruiters to ensure seamless candidate handoff and exceptional candidate experience
- Serve as a brand ambassador across all candidate interactions and sourcing channels
- Conduct strategic market research to understand regional veterinary talent trends, compensation dynamics, competitor activity, and workforce availability
- Create talent maps and sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill or emerging hiring markets
- Identify new sourcing channels, universities, associations, conferences, online communities, and networking opportunities to strengthen talent reach
- Monitor industry and recruiting trends to continuously evolve sourcing strategies and improve pipeline quality
- Share actionable market intelligence and sourcing insights with recruiters and Talent Acquisition leadership
- Partner with recruiters, operations leaders, and TA leadership to align sourcing strategies with business priorities
- Contribute ideas that improve sourcing processes, outreach effectiveness, and recruiting operations
- Support employer branding initiatives, recruiting events, and talent engagement campaigns
- Participate in special projects focused on scaling talent attraction strategies across the organization
Required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent sourcing, talent research, or recruiting within a niche or hard-to-fill industry
- Demonstrated success identifying and engaging passive candidates through strategic sourcing methods
- Experience building pipelines for highly competitive or specialized roles
- Strong proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, and modern sourcing platforms
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create compelling, personalized outreach
- Strong research, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple searches and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter mindset with curiosity, creativity, and persistence in solving recruiting challenges
- Experience sourcing in veterinary medicine, healthcare, or medical recruiting
- Familiarity with ATS platforms such as Greenhouse or ClearCompany
- Experience with talent mapping, competitive intelligence, and market analytics
- Knowledge of AI sourcing tools, CRM strategies, and modern recruiting technologies
- Experience supporting employer branding or talent marketing initiatives
