Registered Veterinary Technician

Hillside Small Animal Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!

In This Role, You Will

• Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
• Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication.
• Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.
• Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarian's orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.

This is a part-time position, offering a flexible schedule. Please note that rotating weekend shifts are required.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

• Compensation: $18-20 per hour, for each hour worked*

Minimum Qualifications And Skill Set

• 3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Ohio
• Proficiency in the following skills:
• Surgery set up and assisting
• Phlebotomy
• Sample collection
• Inpatient care
  

Hillside Small Animal Hospital is a full-service companion animal practice serving Batavia and Cincinnati's east side suburbs. Our hospital focuses exclusively on dogs and cats, combining family-oriented, relationship-based care with advanced medical capabilities. Services include wellness programs, internal medicine workups, dermatology, comprehensive dentistry with digital dental radiographs, as well as soft tissue and orthopedic surgery such as cruciate repair and fracture plating.
