Medical Director – South Arlington, TX

Leadership Opportunity | Flexible Schedule | No On-Call | Collaborative Culture

South Arlington Animal Clinic is looking for an experienced and compassionate Medical Director to join our established small animal practice in Arlington, Texas!

If you’re an experienced veterinarian (DVM) who is ready to take the next step in your career—or a current Medical Director looking for a practice where you can make a meaningful impact—we’d love to meet you.

At South Arlington Animal Clinic, we believe great veterinary medicine starts with a great team and a healthy work environment. Our practice takes a thoughtful, relationship-based approach to patient care, giving our doctors the time and support they need to practice high-quality medicine while ensuring our clients feel heard and valued.

As Medical Director, you’ll have the opportunity to lead with influence, support your team, and help shape the continued growth of the hospital while maintaining the clinical autonomy and work-life balance that brought you to veterinary medicine in the first place.

About The Medical Director Role

We’re seeking a veterinarian who is excited to serve as both a clinical leader and a champion for the team.

In this role, you’ll partner with the hospital team and regional leadership to help foster a positive medical culture, support clinical excellence, and identify opportunities for the practice to continue growing.

You’ll have a voice in the direction of the hospital while continuing to practice medicine and build meaningful relationships with your patients, clients, and team.

As Medical Director, You’ll

  • Provide high-quality small animal medicine, surgery, and preventive care
  • Serve as a trusted clinical resource for the veterinary team
  • Help establish and maintain strong medical standards and protocols
  • Support and mentor associate veterinarians, including early-career doctors
  • Encourage collaboration between doctors and the veterinary support team
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive hospital culture
  • Help identify opportunities to expand services and improve patient care
  • Build strong relationships with clients and the local community
  • Partner with hospital and regional leadership on practice initiatives
  • Encourage continuing education and professional development
  • Help recruit and retain talented veterinary professionals
  • Advocate for your team while maintaining a healthy and collaborative work environment

This is a hands-on leadership role for a veterinarian who wants to make a difference—not just in the medicine we practice, but in the people and pets we serve.

  • Leadership support and partnership
  • Opportunities to grow the hospital and develop your own areas of clinical interest
  • A strong focus on team well-being and mental wellness
