We are looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic & Shop Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of automotive systems, be able to diagnose and repair complex issues, and have a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of vehicles. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently and efficiently. You will be working closely with our Shop Manager in scheduling maintenance, Keeping records, ordering parts. As well this job entails the following: Keeping the Shop organized with tools, materials for projects. Keeping inventory. Picking up Supplies, Materials for Misc. jobs For all DBA's within the company. Making purchases as directed by your supervisor. Employee will be provided a vehicle for picking up supplies will be supplied. Must have a Valid Drivers License with no driving restrictions. Able to lift over 50 pounds. Making sure all trucks that return from the field are serviced and cleaned. Misc. Shop duties.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, and tire rotations.
- Inspect vehicles for safety and performance issues.
- Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions.
- Repair or replace worn parts such as brakes, spark plugs, and belts.
- Keep records of maintenance and repair work performed on vehicles.
- Keeping the Shop Organized and Clean
- Inventory of all Supplies
- Ordering and picking up Supplies as needed
- Picking up materials as needed
- Making sure all trucks that return from the field are cleaned and stocked.
- Tool inventory and Servicing as needed
- Reporting to you Shop Manager Supervisor for daily tasks and tasks that need to be completed.
- Staging materials and supplies for projects for all DBA's
- Forklift
- Misc. Tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week
Work Location: In person
Salary : $80,000 - $160,000
