What are the responsibilities and job description for the Qualified Mental Health Professionals (PRN) position at Western Tidewater CSB?
Western Tidewater CSB is seeking Qualified Mental Health Professionals for our Nursing Home Pilot Program department to work PRN (as needed) Days and Weekends.
- Gero-Psychiatric, Mental Health, or ID/DD experience is preferred for this position. **
- Teach consumers appropriate strategies to manage behavioral and mental health symptoms
- Assist with consumer service plans related to identified needs and goals
- Assist consumers in gaining access to appropriate medical, psychiatric, social, educational, vocational and other support and services
- Provide consumer training/reinforcement, linkage to supports/services
- Advocate on behalf of consumer, family and providers
- Monitor/assess service delivery
- Behavior management and crisis intervention
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field
- One year experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, substance abuse or who are dually diagnosed.
- QMHP-C or QMHP-A certified by the Board of Health Professions
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable DMV record.
