Job Description
Tower Crew Foreman/Tower climber/Top hands/Tower technician apprentice: We are looking for locally based individuals and crews with a minimum of 2 years experience in the tower construction, wireless industry. We have openings for individuals who demonstrate experience as foreman, tower climbers, and top hands. Responsibilities
All facets of cell site construction, including:
-Proper adherence to safety rules and standards to protect yourself and others
-Tower climbing and man-basket work
-Use of hand tools and power tools
-Willingness to work as a 2-3 member team to construct, upgrade and maintain all types wireless facilities from mountain top cell towers to small cells in urban areas, including:
- fiber optic cable installation, cleaning and testing
- low voltage cable installation
- antenna and radio installation
- fiber optic testing, PIM and sweep testing
- steel erection
- grounding of equipment
- general construction activities, supporting cell site construction, upgrade and maintenance
-Some travel required, primarily in Utah, and southern Idaho.
Training
We offer in-house/on-the-job support and training including:
-Climbing/tower rescue, rigging, RF safety, MEWP (manlift operation), OSHA 10/30 hour, first aid and CPR, NWSA TT1 certification sponsorship.
-Tower mounted equipment installation: antennas, microwave dishes, radios, etc.
-Cabling/fiber optic transmission line installation and testing
-Troubleshooting and repairs of antenna systems
Qualifications
-Experience climbing and supervising others while climbing towers, working from heights and accessing structures and equipment with the help of manlifts, controlled descent, etc.
-Attention to and willingness to share our focus on safety.
-Knowledge of sweep testing, PIM testing, fiber testing are a plus, but not required.
-Certifications of training and a resume of prior experience are a plus, but not required.
