In partnership with the Director of Talent Development, the Leadership Development Partner plays a critical role in the successful development, coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Western States Leadership Academy. This role serves as a thought partner, developer, and facilitator, working across the business to align leadership development efforts with organizational strategy and leader capability needs. The Leadership Development Partner operates at a high level of visibility and serves as a trusted partner through regular interaction with leaders at multiple levels across the business. A critical component of this position is staying current on innovative training techniques and tools that meet the needs of a growing organization that values a culture of professional development.

Leadership Development
- Partners with the Director of Talent Development to support the vision, strategy, and execution of the Western States Leadership Academy.
- Facilitates and co-facilitates full-day and multi-day leadership programs to deliver impactful leadership training experiences across leadership levels.
- Supports participant registration, roster management, and creates communications related to class requests and registrations.
- Ensures successful LMS (learning management system) alignment and related LMS actions for Leadership Academy programs and classes.
- Coordinates schedules, logistics, and resources to ensure high-quality and consistent program delivery.
- Collaborates with various cross-functional/cross-divisional teams and subject matter experts to align leadership development efforts with business priorities and needs.
- Develops and maintains leadership development content, including curriculum, learning materials, and facilitation resources for instructor‑led training experiences.
- Ensures alignment between the Leadership Academy and other talent development programs to create a cohesive leadership journey.
- Applies adult and experiential learning principles to enhance engagement and skill application.
- Models Western States leadership behaviors and values in all interactions and conduct.
- Technologically adept; proficient in utilizing Microsoft 365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Team, SharePoint, etc.) and other software (Canva) to develop and deliver leadership training content and learning materials.
- Ability to influence without authority and partner effectively across the organization.
- Delivers an exceptional customer experience.
- Experience leading and working cross-functionally, and with external partners.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills that build relationships at all levels across the organization
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and facilitation/public speaking skills.
- Ability to travel overnight up to 25%
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.
- Minimum of 2 years in a Leadership/Talent Development/Training or related role.
- Experience developing leadership training content preferred.
- 1 year supervisory/management experience preferred.
- Valid Drivers License with acceptable driving record required.
- Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
- Must be able to sit for long periods along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs. in accordance with Western States’ Lifting Safe Work Practice to include amount and approach.
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
