ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Maintains day-to-day logistics processes and documentation for receiving, staging, and shipping equipment and attachments in the yard.
* Uses various technology platforms and reporting tools to track equipment status, condition, availability, and location.
* Steam cleans equipment ensuring cleaning area is safe, clean, and free of all debris.
* Maintains consistent communication with all departments, and responds to all client, employees, vendor inquiries in a prompt, professional and friendly manner.
* Ensures yard facilities, fencing, signage, and grounds are maintained and operational
* Assists with minor equipment maintenance and repair coordination
* Provides day-to-day guidance and direction to Equipment Yard Attendants and yard personnel.
* Assists with onboarding and training of new employees on safety procedures, equipment operation, inventory systems, and yard processes.
* Serves as the local subject matter expert for yard operations and logistics procedures.
* Assists management in identifying process improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies.
* Coordinates workforce coverage and daily task assignments during employee absences.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Ability to Travel 25% of the time and work overtime with little or no notice.
* Ability to effectively train and collaborate with personnel on various technology platforms, Microsoft Teams, and Procurement team.
* Proven customer service skills.
* Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems required.
* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
* Consistent attendance and timeliness.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Valid driver's license required. Must be eligible to operate a company vehicle and meet company driving standards.
* Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
* 1 year operating or certification in construction equipment, required.
* 1 year training or supervisory experience required.
* 1 year inventory and logistics, preferred.
* 1 year of facility/yard maintenance experience, preferred.
* Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
* Must be able to sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
* Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
* Exposure to extreme temperatures and environment.
* Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. in accordance with Western States' Lifting Policy to include amount and approach.
