*An additional $3,500 will be added to the base pay for Certified Dietary Manager Certification*
Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Director of Nutrition/Food Manager II to direct and manage the food production operation and the clinical nutrition program for Western State Hospital and Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents; direct operations/utilization/training of the CBORD/NETMENU computer systems as the CBORD/NETMENU business owner; and establish and maintain the Nutrition Services departmental policies and procedures in accordance with regulating agency guidelines to develop and implement nutritionally appropriate, cost effective menus and nutrition support programs.
This position will also ensure the requirements of the performance planning and evaluation system are met and evaluations are completed by established deadlines with proper documentation; performance issues are addressed and documented as they occur; safety issues are reviewed and communicated to assure a safe and healthy workplace; operate within established goals for number and classification of employees for efficiency and effectiveness of operations and Monitor and minimize use of overtime, compensatory time, carried and excess annual leave; ensure development of patient menu is based on scientifically established guidelines (USDA, ADA, etc.) and identified needs of the patients; and maintain purchasing and inventory levels at acceptable levels for the department.
