The Retail Operations Specialist is responsible for the proactive and continuous assessment of bank processes and system utilization to provide a high level of service and support to Western’s customer facing team members. This position collaborates with support teams and management to ensure bank policies, processes and procedures provide our customers with the superior customer service experience that is expected at all Western locations while ensuring compliance, risk mitigation and consistency. The Retail Operations Specialist assists with developing team member resources for supporting consistent processes.
Duties And Responsibilities
Process Development and Support
This is a full-time position with benefits; Monday – Friday; 8 am – 5 pm, Standard 40 hours a week; some travel will be required.

Duties And Responsibilities
Process Development and Support
- Develop processes, write and update standard operating procedures and respond to inquiries related to customer facing products and services. Provide team member resources on bank products, services and customer transactions, which may include; checking accounts, savings accounts, IRAs, HSAs, consumer and in-house real estate loans, electronic banking and cash management.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for end-user experience on systems, including but not limited to: core and teller systems and electronic banking products and services. Develop and maintain knowledge through vendor publications and testing. Provide team member training and resources on systems applicable to their position.
- Assist with special projects to support customer facing functions. Examples of special projects may be system or software set-up and testing, review and improvement of processes, new product rollouts or developing and improving training materials and resources.
