What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Loan Processor position at WESTERN STATE BANK?
The Retail Loan Processor works closely with Retail Lenders to ensure that loans are accurately and efficiently processed in accordance with the organization’s vision, core values, team guidelines, and overall business plan. This position will serve the lenders as well as the customers by preparing loan documentation and physically place them in the files, all while following necessary regulations, and making sure procedures are compliant.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Create loan packages for various retail loan products, ensuring compliance with guidelines and procedures and acting as a resource for Bank staff regarding loan information.
- Verify loan documentation meets underwriting requirements and provide support to Bank staff during the lending process.
- Verify loan meets approval conditions and all stipulations have been accurately satisfied
- Verify appropriate rate and term of loan product
- Provide accurate and organized closing and/or other documents to the Lender using the preferred delivery method.
- Verify the Lender has collected all appropriate documentation for the type of loan, checking for name and other accuracy.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure a timely closing deadline is met
- Provide support and input for employees when handling various lending situations.
- Answer team member inquiries and resolve routine problems
- Complete follow up on loans that have closed to secure missing title work, documentation, etc.
- Administer various lending software programs as assigned
- Maintain and submit accurate and timely reports to various internal and external recipients.
- Places orders and reviews documents from third party vendors
- Keep up with bank compliance procedures to ensure satisfactory exam and audits.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
High School diploma required. A minimum of 2 years of Real Estate processing required. Experience with complex processing systems required.
