Teller duties include (but are not limited to):
- Handle deposits, withdrawals, payments and various other teller duties.
- Participate in business development to grow Western State Bank’s deposits and possess the ability to cross-sell or upsell our products.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with customer information.
- Maintain the knowledge to remain compliant with banking regulations.
- Carefully follow bank Customer Information Program (CIP) procedures in order to identify each customer.
- Receive and respond to customer service account inquiries on account balances, transaction details, check ordering, debit cards, statements, fees and charges.
- Identify customer needs and be able to refer customers to appropriate banking services and representatives over the phone and in-person.
- Assist supervisor(s) with projects and reporting
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, bilingual abilities are preferred
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment as well as independently
- Be comfortable in a multi-tasking environment
- Organized and detailed-oriented approach
This is a full time, Monday through Friday position. Working hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
