GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under the direction of the Information Technology Director, the Information Systems Technician is responsible for providing a single point of contact for end users to receive support. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The technician will troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via email) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required.
GENERAL DUTIES

- Provide first-level technical assistance to end-users on all supported software products.
- Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the helpdesk.
- Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software.
- Provide support for local and remote staff working within a virtual desktop environment or on physical devices.
- Upgrade and repair existing desktop equipment and troubleshoot and resolve problems with desktop hardware.
- Maintains inventory of equipment and parts as well as documentation of vendor activities
- Maintains LAN user documentation including hardware/software applications, support logs and other related information
- Establishes and maintains user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges and security
- Interact with several computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment
- Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems
- Performs weekly server restore testing
- May participate in on-call rotation
The salary range for this position is $25.00 - 29.00 per hour.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A college degree is preferred, or the equivalent in experience
- Technical certifications preferred. (MCP, A , Network )
- OS and application support:
- Windows
- Linux
- MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Knowledge of other applications preferred (Adobe, etc.)
- Electronic Health Record

Basic network support:
- Understanding of a domain/corporate IT environment including PC/Laptop setup
- Active Directory
- Basic knowledge of network technologies (LAN, WAN, wireless
- VPN clients
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- Solid and proven experience working with diverse communities in a non-profit or healthcare setting.
- Experience working with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s) and their specific patient populations is preferred.
- This position will have project management, troubleshooting and customer service experience.
- Understanding of change and release management
