What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist (Outpatient) Full-Time, Monday - Friday position at Western Reserve?
Evaluates and treats patients with injury or illness through established physical therapy interventions and treatment procedures. Supervision of physical therapist assistants, students and others as deemed appropriate.
This is an outpatient PT position in our outpatient dept located inside WRH. It would requires skills in both orthopedics and neurological physical therapy. Interest in falls and balance, gait abnormalities, and neuro diagnosis is required. Dept has a LiteGait device and Real Eyes vestibular equipment.
Education and Training
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy; New Grads are required to have a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current license issued by the Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy/Athletic Trainer Board to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Ohio.
- BLS required.
Experience
One (1) year of experience working as a Physical Therapist preferred.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
- Successful verbal and written communication skills required for customer relations.
- Must be able to lift and transport patients and equipment.
- Must be willing to work with individuals with disabilities
