What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist, PRN/Variable Shifts position at Western Reserve?
Performs procedures involving blood collection, central receiving/specimen handling, and limited technical functions to assist the technologist in performing laboratory analysis.
Education and Training
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Certificate in Phlebotomy or as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Six months previous phlebotomy experience AND/OR completion of a Medical Assistant Program OR a Phlebotomy Program.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire and/or transfer.
Experience
Six months previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
- Required Course(s)/Skills - Medical terminology.
Schedule:
PRN (AS NEEDED) with variable hours and locations (Cuyahoga Falls/Tallmadge/Kent/Hudson). Shifts include:
- 7-3:30
- 8-4:30
- 5am-1:30
- 12:30p-9:30p
