What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Aide position at Western Prairie Human Services?
We are seeking a dedicated, person centered individual to join our team. We are currently accepting applications fora Case Aide in our Income Maintenance Unit. This is position is full-time, to be located in the Wheaton, MN site.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and moderate experience in clerical and/or human services, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Functions
- Prepares or assists in generation, preparation, gathering and obtaining of various reports, documentation and information.
- Determine eligibility for Non-Emergency Medical Assistance Transportation reimbursement services.
- Review and process completed reimbursement claim forms received from clients, drivers and providers and submit to accounting for payment.
- Maintain case files to ensure all required verifications documents are being retained, that data privacy practices are in place and being adhered to: MN statues 256B.0625, subdivision 17b .
- Determine eligibility for CCAP as a Case Worker role. Gathers required paperwork, interviews applicants.
- Transcriptionist duties; support social workers by completing Winscribe for upcoming court hearing; support social workers in trouble shooting transcription software as needed in Western Prairie Human Services.
- Serves as a back-up for the Office Support Specialist in all essential functions of that position.

The following is preferred but not required: the ability to follow complex oral and written instructions; ability to manage workload and meet deadlines; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to prepare clear and concise reports; Frequent contact with the department and other departments, outside agencies and public on specialized matters requiring detailed or technical responses/explanations; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates and the general public.
Special Requirements
Valid driver's license; Data privacy and workplace safety training upon hire; IPAM and safeguarding child support training within 6 months of hire.
This is a full-time position, non-exempt, union position. Anticipated beginning pay is $21.92 per hour. An array of benefits are offered.
