The Director of Pricing leads the development and execution of strategic pricing initiatives a business unit within the organization. This role uses data analytics, market research, and competitive insights to optimize pricing models, improve margins, and support revenue growth. The Director of Pricing collaborates closely with finance, sales, marketing, product management, and executive leadership to ensure pricing strategies align with business goals. This position will report to the business unit President.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with revenue and profitability objectives.
- Lead pricing governance, policies, and approval processes.
- Identify opportunities for margin improvement and through pricing optimization
- Conduct pricing analysis using internal data, market trends, and competitive benchmarking.
- Monitor performance and recommend adjustments.
- Support product launches with pricing frameworks and marketing positioning.
- Develop pricing tools, dashboards, and reporting for leadership.
- Establish KPI’s to track pricing effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in pricing, strategy, revenue management, or financial analysis. Preferred experience in Power Sports/ Automotive afterparts market.
- 3-5 years of leadership or management experience
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Experience with pricing software, BI tools, data analytics
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in price optimization, revenue management.
