Summary:
Responsible for assisting and servicing customers on the phone and online by preparing and entering customer orders for warehouse processing.
Duties:
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer customer product questions using product knowledge and catalogue.
- Inform customers of prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customers.
- Watch fax, email and other digital mediums for incoming orders.
- Be familiar with customer special requirements.
- Enter customer order data into computer system.
- Solicit sales of new or additional services.
- Prepare customer reports.
- Prepare orders for warehouse processing.
- Maintain files for order-related paperwork in an organized manner.
- Address customer complaints or escalate if necessary.
- Process refund requests when appropriate.
Education and Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
6 months to 1 year of related job experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods.
