Our laboratory handles a wide array of complex cases, including hematopathology, solid tumors, and a variety of other specimens such as head & neck, GYN, breast, lung, GI, GU, and derm specimens. Location: Western Pathology Consultants, Reno, NV Days: Monday – Friday Hours: 11 am - 7:30 pm Full-time: Benefit Eligible ***Relocation and Competitive Sign-On Bonus Available*** ***New graduates encouraged to apply!*** In this role, you will: Perform a vital part of the patient care process through preparation, gross description, and dissection of human tissue surgical specimens Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards Champion safety, compliance, and quality control All you need is: Bachelor of Science documented 3 years' full-time grossing experience, or Masters Pathologists' Assistant program from a NCCLS accredited institution Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists BOC is preferred Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, microscopes, and audible alarms.
