Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, listening carefully to their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Clearly explain recommended repairs and maintenance services, including estimates and timelines
- Write detailed service orders and communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and parts requirements
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission servicing to maximize customer value
- Manage cash handling transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
- Maintain thorough records of all service activities, estimates, and customer interactions for future reference
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, oil changes, and diesel engine repair
- Experience working with automotive estimating software and service writing processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and professionalism
- Familiarity with auto body repair processes and tire service operations is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge combined with mechanic experience or service technician background is advantageous
- Basic cash handling skills and a strong understanding of automobile sales processes are beneficial
