Residential Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Residential Electrician to join our dynamic team In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential settings. Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures in residential properties.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to accurately execute wiring plans.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical installations and repairs.
• Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards.
• Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices such as ohmmeters and multimeters; resolve problems promptly.
• Assist with renovation projects by updating or replacing existing wiring systems while minimizing disruption.
• Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical work seamlessly within broader building activities.
• Work with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and schematics when applicable for specialized installations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and system modifications.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a residential electrician or similar role with a strong understanding of electrical systems in homes.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety regulations.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
• Experience working on construction sites, including framing carpentry or maintenance person tasks is a plus.
• Familiarity with low voltage wiring systems, high voltage applications, and industrial electrician experience is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently using diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively.
• Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations; ongoing training or certifications in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), NEC updates, or high voltage systems are advantageous.
