Role Description:
We are seeking a Business Manager to oversee and support business operations within the College of Education and Human Development. In this role, you will provide leadership in financial management, planning, policy development, and human resources administration to ensure efficient operations and sound fiscal stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and monitor departmental finances, ensuring appropriate and effective allocation of resources
- Analyze budgets, investigate variances, and forecast financial performance using sound analytical methods
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial operations
- Conduct financial research and provide decision‑support analysis
- Develop business plans and support major projects and operational initiatives
- Manage fiscal components of budgets, contracts, and negotiated agreements
- Establish, interpret, and implement departmental policies and procedures
- Oversee human resources functions, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, labor laws, and contractual obligations
- Contribute to short‑ and long‑term planning initiatives
- May support capital project planning and supervise or train staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution.
- Three years’ relevant experience.
- Budget management including fiscal analyses.
- Administration/budget experience in a higher education is preferred.
