Position Overview: Are you a results-driven professional with a passion for HVAC systems? We’re looking for an enthusiastic HVAC Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The HVAC Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and closing of HVAC installation projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise in HVAC systems and excellent management and communication skills. If you have a blend of experience in project management, especially in HVAC or construction, strong leadership skills and the ability to drive team performance, Superb organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks, we want to hear from you!
Salary: Dependent upon Experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables; develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Cost Control and Estimating: Prepare detailed project estimates and proposals, monitor project expenses, track budgetary performance, manage change orders, and implement cost-saving measures to maximize profitability.
- Team Leadership and Coordination: Supervise and manage field staff, including installers and subcontractors; delegate tasks, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact; provide regular project updates, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Procurement and Logistics: Oversee the procurement process, including material and equipment selection, purchase orders, and supplier management, ensuring timely delivery to meet project schedules.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure contract compliance, quality workmanship, and adherence to all state and local building codes, and safety regulations.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED. A bachelor’s degree in construction management, or a related field is preferred, though significant work experience can be substituted.
- Requires a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, or project management in a commercial/industrial environment.
- Deep understanding of HVAC systems, equipment, and installation processes, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in project management, scheduling, budgeting, and problem-solving.
- Excellent leadership, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites are usually necessary
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of the construction process
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Project
