Apprentice Plumber

Western Mass Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Inc is western Massachusetts leading Plumbing & HVAC Company.  We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, ambitious, self motivated and mechanically inclined for a plumbers apprentice position.  We are searching for someone who can adapt and learn the fields we specialize in and be a team player. 

Life as an Apprentice Plumber: In this apprentice position, you are eager to learn! You ask questions, observe, and emulate our values. You go out in the field and assist our experienced plumbers. As you assist them and help increase their efficiency, they mentor and train you on everything from talking to customers to servicing and installing plumbing systems. You also help keep trucks, tools, and job sites clean and organized.

You are a hard worker who does whatever is asked of you and pays close attention to what you're being taught. You enjoy interacting with customers and fellow employees. Expanding your knowledge and skills is a top priority for you. You are excited to be part of our team and can't wait to advance in this stable and well-paid career as a plumber! Position Summary: This is manual work at an apprentice level in installation in a training capacity and under the supervision of a journeyman plumber, providing assistance in both residential service and installation of new plumbing systems.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Hold a valid drivers license
• Maintain an insurable driving record
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Basic knowledge of local plumbing codes
• Knowledge of standard tools, methods, and materials of the plumbing trade is desired
• Ability to work in confined spaces & in all types of weather
• Ability to pass drug & background test
