What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enrollment Outreach Worker - Washington County position at WESTERN MARYLAND AREA HEALTH EDUCATION CENTER INC?
Purpose:
To conduct outreach activities and provide enrollment assistance in the far western region of Maryland.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize and complete all Paycom responsibilities in a timely manner
- Serve as trained and certified Consumer Assistance Worker for the Connector Entity
- Work directly with regional community-based organizations related to assigned program(s)
- Maintain an ongoing presence with community partners
- Provide benefits counseling in a culturally competent manor
- Respond to assistance requests from the community/the MHBE
- Provide reports as requested/needed
- Attend required/requested meetings, training courses and workshops
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with care and integrity
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years’ experience of conducting outreach activities
- Health plan enrollment experience preferred
- Computer literacy skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
- Ability to use written and oral communication effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and travel regionally as needed

Salary is subject to grant guidelines and is based on education and experience.
