What are the responsibilities and job description for the WIC Nutrition Counselor position at Western Maine Community A?
WIC is a federally funded program that provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support, referrals, and food benefits to families that qualify.
This position is 32 hours a week with possibility of 40 to help with coverage as needed. Cover letter and resume required.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates or bachelor's degree in nutrition along with great verbal communication skills and demonstrates ability to conduct educational sessions in individual and group settings. Sensitivity to issues facing low-income people and those from a number of cultural backgrounds.
