Trauma Clinician, LCCWEAR Integrated Family Trauma Treatment Clinic

Western Kentucky University's LifeSkills Center for Child Welfare Education and Research (LCCWEAR) is seeking applications for the Integrated Family Trauma Treatment Clinic Trauma Clinician. The Trauma Clinician will provide evidence-based trauma therapy, case management, and systemic advocacy/collaboration for children, adults, and families and therapeutic services will include therapy, comprehensive trauma assessment, ongoing reassessment and screening, and education. Non-therapeutic interventions to include case management, referrals, service follow up, and parenting education. Additionally, the trauma clinician will assist in the development and facilitation of a systemic intervention intended to prevent out of home placement of children involved in the child welfare system and will report to the Clinic Manager of the IFTTC.

The Trauma Clinician will have an ability to establish priorities and work independently to meet deadlines, be organized and detail oriented with the capacity to work in a busy environment with frequent interruption, and maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, accountability, cooperation, and customer service. Also, they will demonstrate computer literacy and proficiency to include Microsoft Office Suite and have excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills. The Trauma Clinician will possess strong decision making, problem solving, and organizational skills and strong interpersonal communication skills with an ability to work with a wide spectrum of individuals in a diverse setting.

The following duties are expected for this position but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.

• Provide evidence-based or evidence-informed trauma-specific therapy services
• Maintain an ongoing caseload with children and parents involved in the child welfare system, completing detailed documentation of service delivery
• Deliver therapy, case management, and systemic collaboration services
• Contribute to development, design, and facilitation of learning collaborative for child welfare intervention
• Participate in and co-facilitate multidisciplinary case consultation for families involved with the child welfare system
• Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with network of community partners, including Kentucky's Cabinet for Health and Family Services, to enhance the provision of services

This is a grant funded position. Continuation is dependent upon funding/need.

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, or clinical counseling
• Independent licensure in the state of Kentucky
• Trained and certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) or working toward certification
• At least 2 years of experience in evidence based or evidence informed trauma treatment

Salary: $61,200
