Western Kentucky University, a member of Conference USA and a Football Bowl Subdivision (I-A) NCAA member institution, seeks to hire an individual for the position of Director of Operations for Baseball. This is a 12-month, full-time position. This position will report directly to the baseball head coach. Applicants must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of WKU, Conference USA and the NCAA.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.
- Lead and coordinate all logistics related to team travel
- Serve as the liaison regarding equipment orders and distribution and maintenance of equipment while following athletic department policy
- Assist with coordinator of all on-campus recruiting visits/events, baseball game day needs, special outings/events, MLB scout relations, recruiting video distribution and organization, and video work
- Oversee all administrative operations for baseball including serving as a liaison on personnel issues, manage complimentary admissions, and assist with compliance related forms and activities
- Serve as a liaison to administration, compliance, and athletic academic advising regarding student-athletes
- Manage student-athlete information/communication
- Supervise managers and student workers
- Manage annual camp operations in coordination with the coaching staff, business office, compliance, facilities and community constituents
- Any other duties assigned by the head coach
