Travel: Some limited travel- based on project demand.

Reports to: Director of Product Management

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000

Annual Bonus Potential: 20% of base salary

Role Overview:

Drive transformation and lead projects that shape the future of Western Global’s North America strategy where being Ready, Together, and Driven, is more than a motto; it’s how we work every day.

We are seeking a Strategic Project Manager, located in our Pineville, NC office, to lead cross-functional initiatives that drive operational efficiency, product innovation, and commercial growth aligned with Western Global's North America long-term goals and business strategy. This highly visible role will oversee a portfolio of critical projects that support our growth trajectory while shaping the tools and processes that define our project management excellence. You’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment fueled by collaboration, integrity, and a culture that empowers people to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex, high-impact projects that advance the company’s mission, demonstrating fearless drive and accountability in delivering strategic outcomes.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans with clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining a responsive and resilient approach to shifting priorities.
  • Secure and allocate resources, manage project budgets, and ensure efficient use of team workflows and finances.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks with a resilient mindset to safeguard project success and support team stability.
  • Build and maintain transparent, collaborative relationships with executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure shared understanding, alignment, and accountability throughout project lifecycle.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPI’s) and reporting mechanism to monitor project progress, measure success, and update leadership on challenges and wins.
  • Manage and review the entire project portfolio to ensure all initiatives align with strategic priorities and support informed decision-making.
  • Evaluate and enhance project management tools and processes to boost efficiency, streamline workflows, and elevate organizational effectiveness.

What will give you the edge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience within the industrial manufacturing industry.
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of New Product Development (NPD) and project management processes and principles.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project and SmartSheets, with demonstrated experience in applying these tools effectively.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
