Western Forest Products is hiring Production Laborers to join our Calvert Division in Washington State.

Shifts: Monday-Friday (occasional Saturdays), 6:00am – 3:30pm

Successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing as well as background checks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up glue room for daily production needs;
  • Push out previous days production;
  • Apply glue to boards and move boards through the production line;
  • Inspect boards for proper glue application;
  • Lock up the beams with an air impact gun once glued;
  • Using torque wrench, manually lock up beam to the proper torque;
  • Communicate and work as a team during entire process;
  • Maintain clean and organized workspace;
  • Support other areas of the operations as needed; and
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and continuously be on your feet 90% of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Labor experience is an asset but not required;
  • Reliable, steady work history, includes a good attendance record;
  • Must have the ability to follow standard safety procedures;
  • Positive attitude, ready to learn and a safety mindset;
  • Physically fit and able to stand for 8 hour shifts, perform repetitive tasks and heavy lifting;
  • Must be able to work in moderate to warm environment;
  • Basic math skills and effectively read, write and communicate in English; and
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and regular random drug tests.
