The Salesforce Developer develops components, customizations, or other solutions within Western’s Salesforce system. Helps the company maximize utilization by continuously evaluating Salesforce functionality in support and alignment of business needs. Develops and administers modules, dashboards, interfaces, reports, or access levels, Conducts requirement analysis, documents technical specifications, and writes, reviews, and debugs code. Recommends product revisions or enhancements based on user feedback from areas throughout the organization.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
3 years of experience in Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification is required; additional Salesforce certifications are preferred.
Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and security model.
Proficiency in Salesforce administration, including custom objects, fields, page layouts, workflows, validation rules, and process automation.
Experience with integration tools such as REST and SOAP APIs.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce applications, features, and enhancements using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications for Salesforce development projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce-related issues, ensuring optimal system performance and user satisfaction.
- Perform regular code reviews to ensure adherence to development best practices and maintainability of the codebase.
- Assist in setup, teardown, and configuration of sandbox environments.
- Ensure security within Salesforce and external integrations are using industry best practices and that as security recommendations evolve that those are implemented.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation of Salesforce customizations, integrations, and processes.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices to recommend and implement improvements to existing processes and systems.
- Develop and maintain integrations with external systems and third-party applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality Salesforce solutions.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
