We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Working Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with industry-standard management and scheduling software. This role requires a proactive approach to project management, quality control, safety compliance, and team supervision to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth workflow and communication
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Construction management software
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide onsite activities
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and assist with construction estimating as needed
- Oversee quality control measures to ensure work meets specifications and industry standards
- Enforce OSHA regulations and promote a safe working environment for all personnel
- Review contracts, change orders, and scope of work to ensure compliance and proper documentation
- Utilize tools such as HeavyBid for cost estimation when applicable
- Supervise subcontractors and labor teams, providing guidance on technical aspects including construction management software integration
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality assurance

SKILLS
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in managing large-scale projects
- Supervising experience on construction sites with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
- Proficiency in Construction management software, Bluebeam, and other relevant tools
- Knowledge of contracts, blueprints reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety procedures in a construction environment
- Strong project scheduling skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent management skills with a focus on budgeting, quality control, and problem-solving
- Technical knowledge of electrical testing (Ohmmeter) and pipeline construction is a plus
- Ability to read technical schematics and understand complex construction drawings

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 Years’ Management experience in the construction trade
- Industry knowledge and ability to read blueprints
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to effectively interface with clients
- Works effectively as an individual and as an integral part of a team
- Ability to multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
