What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate/Cashier position at Western Edge Seafood Outlet?
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately
- Scan and bag items for customers
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide product recommendations (We will educate you on relevant product information)
- Promote store promotions and loyalty programs
- Repacking products in other packaging
- Need to be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
Experience (None Required, but preferred):
- Previous cashier or sales experience preferred but not required
- Fluent in English (multilingual skills are a plus)
- Knowledge of retail math and basic math skills
- Experience handling cash and operating cash registers
- Familiarity with stock management and inventory control
- Experience in technical sales or jewelry sales is a bonus
- Ability to effectively sell products and demonstrate product features
