The Opportunity

Western DuPage Landscaping is seeking a relationship-driven leader who can retain clients, grow enhancement sales, and deliver exceptional landscape maintenance services while achieving profitability and quality goals. The ideal candidate has a strong background in turf care, horticulture, and landscape maintenance operations, along with an Illinois Pesticide Applicator License.

This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of landscape maintenance accounts, achieving sales and retention goals, identifying enhancement opportunities, supporting snow services, and working closely with production teams to deliver high-quality results. Serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned clients, ensuring expectations, budgets, and property goals are consistently achieved. Generate and close enhancement opportunities including seasonal color, landscape renovations, drainage, irrigation improvements, tree care, and specialty services.

Success in this role means retaining clients, growing enhancement sales, maintaining quality standards, contract renewals, customer satisfaction, safety performance and helping WDL become the contractor of choice for every property we serve.

Core Responsibilities

·        Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial landscape maintenance accounts.

·        Build long-term client relationships and maintain high customer satisfaction.

·        Identify, estimate, and sell landscape enhancements and additional services.

·        Conduct regular property inspections and quality control site visits.

·        Prepare proposals, contracts, change orders, and renewals.

·        Collaborate with operations teams to ensure efficient service delivery.

·        Meet or exceed sales, profitability, and client retention goals.

·        Prospect and develop new maintenance and snow service opportunities.

·        Snow duties as assigned.

·        Support business development and execution of commercial snow and ice management services.

·        Uphold WDL's quality, safety, and best practices standards.

Required Qualifications

·        3 years of landscape maintenance account management or sales experience.

·        Strong knowledge of turf care, horticulture, and plant identification.

·        Proven ability to grow accounts and generate enhancement sales.

·        Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office and LMN (or Aspire).

·        Valid Illinois driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Experience with commercial snow and ice management.

o   Snow & Ice Management credentials (ASCA, SIMA).

·        Illinois Pesticide Applicator License.

·        Illinois Certified Landscape Professional.

·        Irrigation certification.

·        Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Compensation

Full-Time, Year-Round

Base salary: starting at $60,000, compensation commensurate with experience
