To be eligible at the GS-07 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level. One year of specialized experience at the GS-06 level includes: performing a variety of routine budget administration tasks; reviewing budget submissions for accuracy and completeness; preparing reports on the status of funds; receiving and distributing budget documents; providing information to managers on budget and program regulations; and assisting in tracking and monitoring funds.

Responsibilities:
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for a variety of complex procedural and technical duties related to the formulation and execution of the District budget and financial management activities. Typical work assignments will include:- Participating with supervisor or budget analyst in the preparation of budget activities and estimates.
- Reviewing and analyzing budget reports, classifying errors and taking corrective action to balance errors.
- Determining that all transactions are properly processed and that total activity agrees with pre-determined control totals.
- Regularly reconciling accounts and adjusting them to reflect outstanding balances.
- Liquidating obligations when notified of receipt of goods / services.
- Preparing invoices and other fiscal items for payment.
