Terramac is looking for a Receiving Inspector at our St. Louis, MO, location. This position is responsible for verifying the quality, accuracy and completeness of incoming materials and products against purchase orders and company standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Inspect parts for defects, counting and documenting shipments, using measurement tools. Measurement tools include tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Maintain quality quarantine area efficiently. Key role in MRB meetings.
- Perform warehouse functions and utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Print reading is essential for this job role.
- Maintain detailed records of product defects or issues found through the receiving process.
- Perform receiving checks daily according to determined frequency established by Quality Supervisor/Manager. Responsible for documenting traceable components as well.
- Ensure Quality processes are being followed.
- Daily communication of Quality issues with Quality Supervisor/Manager.
- Communication with warehouse/supply chain team is also required.
- Communicate and document all shipping damage promptly.
- Flexibility in other areas of Quality to provide coverage in necessary situations.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience.
- 1-3 years Quality experience.
- 1-3 years of experience with inspection tooling (calipers, micrometers, etc).
- 1-3 years of experience with print reading.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Previous Warehouse experience preferred.
