Job Title: IT Installation and Service Technician
Position Summary:
The IT Installation and Service Technician is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with the installation, setup, and maintenance of cameras and networking equipment in dairy and other livestock facilities. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist with the installation and configuration of cameras, networking, and related systems in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.
· Support the running and organization of various cables and wiring as part of system installations.
· Participate in troubleshooting and repair of equipment, including switches, bridges, and parlor systems.
· Safely operate hand tools, ladders, and bucket trucks as required by job assignments.
· Perform installations and service work in a variety of conditions, including elevated areas, confined spaces, and environments with livestock.
· Travel regularly to customer sites, operating a company vehicle safely and responsibly.
· Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
· Participate in an on-call rotation schedule as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Basic understanding of, or interest in, computer hardware, networking, and related technologies.
· Prior experience with cabling, network equipment, or security camera systems preferred but not required.
· Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform physical work in a range of environments.
· Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to varying temperatures and livestock environments.
· Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
· Familiarity with dairy or livestock facility operations (preferred)
· Basic knowledge of dairy parlor or barn equipment (preferred)
