- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plastics injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues using advanced tools and diagnostic techniques.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust machine operations for peak performance.
- Operate hand tools, precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers, and fabrication tools to repair or replace components.
- Conduct quality inspections on molded parts to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
- Assist with materials handling, including forklift operation, to manage raw materials and finished products efficiently.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying areas for process improvement and waste reduction.
- Proven experience in plastics injection molding maintenance or related manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with plastics blow molding, extrusion, and injection molding techniques.
- Experience in mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to work safely with hand tools, materials handling equipment like forklifts, and fabrication machinery.
