Job Summary
We are seeking a Local and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Hours are : M-F 6am start time.
- Operate truck to transport freight from Pocatello to Rexburg
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Utilize forklifts/Pallet Jacks when necessary for loading and unloading freight safely.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and/or other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) , 2 years minimum
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with freight transportation.
- Familiarity with operating forklift and palletjack
- Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
- Strong route driving skills with knowledge of local roadways and traffic patterns.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
