Western Cable Services in Gypsum, CO is hiring for a Network Cable Technician.
No experience necessary, however you must be mechanically/technically inclined, detail oriented, and capable of distinguishing colors in low light environments. Must have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions, US citizen, and NO felonies. Report to location is Gypsum, CO
Job involves use of ladders, crawl spaces, attics, scissor lifts and boom lifts at commercial and government locations. Environment is a mix of indoor and outdoor work. Ability to ski or snowboard while carrying tools or materials is a plus.
You will be working with and learning the following: fiber optic splicing and termination, network cable and equipment installation, OSP copper cable splicing, security cameras, access control, cable testing, troubleshooting and repair. Tools and training will be provided.
The company also performs occasional contracts with the Federal Government which requires a zero tolerance drug policy under the Drug-Free Workplace Act. This includes marijuana. Background check and random drug testing will be required.
$30/hr or more plus benefits depending on experience.
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
