Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Medium Duty Fleet Mechanic to join our company. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of medium-duty vehicles and small to heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly by performing comprehensive repairs and preventative maintenance on trucks, and small engine equipment . Duties
- Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics on medium-duty trucks, heavy equipment such as skidsteers, loaders, forklifts and small engine equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical repairs with a focus on heavy equipment operation and automotive repair standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs performed, including service logs, maintenance schedules, and parts used; ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist in tire service, assembly of new equipment, and general maintenance tasks to uphold fleet readiness.
- Requirements
- Proven experience as a mechanic with dealership or industrial equipment background preferred. 3 years experience
- Must have a valid Drivers License with a clean record.
- Strong knowledge of truck engine repairs and small engine equipment operation
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of performing heavy lifting safely.
- Valid certifications or experience related to dealership service technician roles; familiarity with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery is a plus.
