What You’ll Be Doing
- Contacts and follows-up with members and arranges appropriate action for resolution of accounts not in good standing; including, negative shares, delinquent loans, or suspected fraud
- Monitors accounts, applies payments, negotiates pay arrangements, and makes recommendations for loan rewrites, including charged off accounts
- Gathers and assesses relevant information about the member(s), business, or personal business’s financial and credit history
- Recommends credit counseling as necessary
- Discusses options with members such as deferral, loan modifications, and forbearance.
- Analyzes account applications, documents, lien perfections, forced place insurance, and credit card reports in preparation of legal action
- Coordinates transfer of information to law firms as communicated by our attorneys.
- Communicates effectively (both verbal and written) with members, employees and external contacts
- Acts as credit union representative in Court proceedings. Negotiates mediation agreements as needed.
- Recommends and prepares loans for monthly charge offs
- Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience required
- 2 years of related work experience required
- Prior experience in the financial/and or collections field preferred
- Ability to multitask & prioritize work tasks while providing exceptional member service
