Position Summary: We are seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant who is dependable, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is confident in safely restraining dogs and cats of all sizes—including those that are fractious—and enjoys being an essential part of a small, hardworking team.
Responsibilities include:
· Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with safe and effective restraint during exams, injections, catheter placements, and blood draws
· Clean and sanitize exam rooms and surgical suite in a timely manner
· Perform general cleaning and laundry duties to help maintain a clean, sanitary working environment
· Provide occasional front desk support: answering phones, checking out clients, and processing payments
· Support other team members as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations
Schedule:
· Full-Time
· Monday to Friday
· 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts, no weekends)
Qualifications:
· Prior experience handling and restraining dogs and cats in a clinical or shelter setting required
· Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work well under pressure
· Ability to multitask and follow instructions with minimal supervision
· Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
