Schedule: Straight Nights
- Full time 3 x 12.5-hour shifts/week
- Part time 2 x12.5 shifts/ week
- Rotating weekends and holidays
- Salary: $186,000- $212,000 (based on full-time hours)
White Plains Hospital is currently seeking experienced Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) to join our expanding Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team as part of a new NICU program. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing and innovative team at a regional leader in clinical excellence.
These NICU APPs will play a critical role in managing high-risk deliveries and providing advanced care for newborns in collaboration with in-house Neonatologists available 24/7.
We are hiring for the following:
Two (2) Full-Time Positions
- One (1) Part-Time Position
(All positions are straight nights.)

Key Responsibilities
- Attend and manage high-risk deliveries
- Assess, stabilize, and intervene for newborns immediately post-delivery
- Provide care and treatment for newborns in the NICU only (no well-baby responsibilities)
- Collaborate with in-house neonatologists for care coordination and continuity
- Perform procedures such as IV access, phlebotomy, resuscitation, and assist in NICU procedures
- Respond to neonatal emergencies, including in the Transitional Nursery, Labor & Delivery, and Emergency Department
- Document and communicate effectively in the electronic medical record
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and consult appropriate specialists as needed
- Educate and counsel families on treatment plans and progress
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner (NP):
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (required)
- Current NYS RN and NP License (Family or Pediatric)
- National Certification (required)
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification (preferred)
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required)
- At least 1 year of NICU APP experience (required)
- Collaborative practice agreement (required upon hire)
Physician Assistant (PA):
- Master’s Degree from an accredited PA program (required)
- Current NYS PA License
- National PA Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required)
- At least 1 year of NICU APP experience (required)
