SAT/ACT Tutor
Job Description:
Westchester Prep is currently seeking multiple verbal and STEM tutors for the SAT and ACT exams. Applicants should have some experience teaching or tutoring; experience with the SAT and/or ACT is preferred.
Candidates can look forward to joining a fun, dynamic, and quickly-growing team of all-star educators who are passionate about tutoring. We're currently hiring tutors for all locations.
Further Qualifications & Details:
All candidates must have a bachelor’s degree; preference is given to candidates who have graduated with distinction. A strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and an intrinsic motivation for teaching are recommended. Travel time may be compensated in select cases. The ideal tutor lives in or near Westchester, NY, and can commute by car (or train) to two or more of the company’s offices—in Armonk, Pleasantville, Chappaqua, Cross River, and Scarsdale—to meet students for in-person sessions. Although some students may work remotely, the vast majority have their sessions in our offices, so in-person availability is highly preferred.
A minimum tutoring commitment of 1-2 years is required. Part-time tutors will generally be expected to have 8 hours of tutoring availability on a consistent, weekly basis. Most tutoring occurs Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Sundays from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Scheduling is flexible depending on tutor availability.
