We are looking for an experienced Patient Care Coordinator with a strong background in dental insurance, billing and treatment planning to join our administrative team.
The Ideal Candidate
Th ideal candidate is detail oriented, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You must be comfortable handling directives, communicating effectively with patients
and team members.
Experience in oral surgery or dental specialty practice is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience from check-in to check-out.
- Verify insurance eligibility, process pre-determinations, and ensure billing accurately.
- Review and correct patient charts and ledgers for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop, present, and discuss treatment plan with patients; collect applicable fees.
- Request and track medical clearances, referrals, and preop recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records and correspondence.
- Coordinate with assistants and surgeons to ensure seamless patient flow and scheduling.
- Answer and direct call, emails and patient inquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Manage daily administrative tasks including mail, reports and documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental front office or insurance coordination role (oral surgery preferred)
- Strong understanding of dental insurance, treatment planning, and billing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy office.
- Proficiency with dental or medical software systems (knowledge of OMS software a plus)
- Team-orientated mindset with the ability to collaborate and support coworkers.
