Role Description
This is a full-time or part time, on-site role for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Limited Permit Holder at our Mahopac, NY location. The clinician will provide individual, family, or couples counseling services tailored to each client’s unique needs. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation, and collaborating with other professionals to support client progress. The role also involves participation in team meetings, case consultations, and continued professional development.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field
- Possess an active New York State license as a Mental Health Counselor (MHC), or eligibility and current holder of a Limited Permit
- Experience in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic practices, including individual, family, and group counseling
- Strong skills in client communication, empathy, and rapport-building
- Commitment to timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team setting
- Prior experience working with children and families is a plus
