Job Summary:
As a Senior Project Manager on our Operational Excellence & Enterprise Data Analytics team, you will take ownership of complex and critical projects, driving them from initiation to completion across a diverse portfolio that includes operational improvement and transformation initiatives, special operational implementations, and data and analytics–driven projects.
You will play a key role in bridging strategic objectives with execution, managing cross-functional teams, refining project management processes, and mentoring junior staff.
We are looking for a seasoned, autonomous project leader with excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement in a data-informed healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Complex Project Leadership: Independently manage the full lifecycle of complex, high-priority projects or multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Strategic Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships and act as the primary liaison with stakeholders at various levels, including leadership; proactively manage expectations and facilitate consensus.
- Product Enhancement Queue Management: Actively manage and prioritize the enhancement request queue for assigned products/areas, negotiating priorities based on organizational goals and feasibility.
- Developer & Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead coordination efforts with engineering and other functional teams, ensuring efficient resource allocation, clear task definition, and timely delivery.
- Process Improvement & Best Practices: Contribute to the refinement of project management methodologies and best practices within the team; ensure adherence to standards.
- Risk Management & Mitigation: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, including managing dependencies and escalations related to external task ownership across the project portfolio; manage complex escalations effectively.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Provide guidance and support to junior project managers or team members.
- Continuous Improvement Leadership: Identify opportunities and champion initiatives for process and improvements related to project delivery and team capabilities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
- Five years of progressively responsible experience devoted to project management, required
- Two years of experience in project management in a public health, health regulatory or health services related organization or program, preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree, required
- Master's degree, preferred
Licenses / Certifications: N/A
Other: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred
