The Transaction Posting Lead for the Cash Management team is responsible for playing an active role in Bon Secours Charity’s ability to achieve operational excellence. This position manages their team’s posting payment transactions from insurance payers and patients in a timely and accurate manner. Additionally, this position posts zero payments and adjustments received through insurance 835 data files, EOBs, and correspondence.
Responsibilities
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in Patient Accounting, Billing Systems, or health insurance required.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licenses / Certifications: N/A

Responsibilities
- Posts payments (including zero pay) received through 835 electronic remittances, lockboxes, online payment portal, and patient payments received at time of service.
- Coordinates staff and demonstrates leadership skills by acting as first line of communication between upper management.
- Ensures timely and accurate posting of unidentified checks and remittances to certify accurate patient billing and to reduce accounts receivable days.
- Assists accounting with any discrepancies regarding the bank statement and the recordings of deposits on the reconciliation sheet.
- Handles all the essential job functions of the Transaction Posting Representative.
- Actively participates in CBO process improvement initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
