Salary: $20-$24The compounding technician is responsible for overseeing processes in the production of compounded non-sterile drugs while strictly adhering to company policies and procedures as well as USP<795>.Assists pharmacists with overseeing daily operations of the pharmacyAssists pharmacists with compounding on non-sterile drugsComply with New York State and USP<795> regulations, and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy such as by cleaning work areas, surfaces and sterilizing equipment.Support pharmacists in compounding medications (emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments), completing daily Compounder To-Do list and scheduled Simplify tasksAssist pharmacists in product ordering by monitoring bulk chemical inventory and alerting pharmacist of items to be orderedReturn all chemicals to stock location; wipe everything clean prior to replacingMaintain appropriate records of chemicals usedWash and sterilize glassware and equipment dailyAssist in end of day tasks (i.e., packing, garbage, and filing)Monthly inspection of expired chemicals, includes discarding expired meds, wiping down rolling shelves, restocking in alphabetical orderFinish and sign logs dailyAll other duties as assignedEducation & Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentBachelors degree in science related field (Chemistry) preferredMinimum (4) years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferredKnowledge of PK Compounder Software preferredSkills required:This role requires you to be a self-starter, organized and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
